THE
FILMWEST PROFESSIONAL
FILMMAKING WORKSHOP
SERIES
WHO: This immersion style workshop, presented
by FilmWest, the production
house located at Old Tucson Studios, is specifically designed for people
with no experience who would like to break into the field of film and
television production. Anyone with the desire to work in Arizona’s growing film and
television industry is welcome. This
workshop is led by experienced industry professionals.
WHAT: Grip-Electric (lighting). “grip” is defined as
“skilled labor” on a film or television crew. Learn the skills needed and handle the
equipment you will use as a grip on a production set. Set protocol and survival tips will also
be shared.
WHERE: Old Tucson Studios, 201 S. Kinney Road, Tucson,
Arizona.
WHEN: July 8-9, 2006. Registration begins at 9am. Workshop from 10am-6pm. Space is limited so sign up early!
WHY: Need a job? Do you want a job working in film and
television production in Arizona? The workshop will provide you with real
film and television networking opportunities. Participation in the Grip-Electric
workshop also might lead to a job working with a film or television
production here in Arizona.
COST: $150 for the 2-day workshop. If you
register on or before July 5, 2006, workshop cost is discounted to $135. If
you are unable to attend both days, you may still join us for a single day
at the cost of $100. Students, Tucson Film
Society, IFASA, APA members will receive a 10% discount.
