Nightfall rocked this year! I am from Fort Worth, Texas and visit my family out here in Tucson once a year and it is usually around October. I had gone to Nightfall before in 2008 and had a blast, but this year was WAY better! The actors were very engaging throughout and was chased around by a dude holding a chainsaw. The zombie lockdown was really intense! I would say that it was my favorite attraction. I liked the carnival caverns and all of the shows. Overall, it was a great experience. The final show was way better than the previous Dr. Hyde ones. It was bloody! It had some adult language, but that just makes the show even more real. I strongly recommend visiting Old Tucson Studios and especially during their Nightfall event. You will not be disapointed.

As a 65 year old western movie 'nut' from England, going to Old Tucson has been a brilliant experience for me (and my missus), we've been 3 times in the last 7 years....loved it every time. The guide we had in 2004 was a white haired, elderly (probably about my age) gent. (don't remember his name, unfortunately) and his knowledge of the genre was fantastic. He knew all the movies that had been made there......where the 'Duke' had stood in Rio Bravo, how a deep hole had to be dug in the little, very shallow man-made river so that Robert Mitchum's son could safely dive into it in El Dorado and loads more. For some reason, I always seem to end up 'behind bars' in the jail house for a photo opportunity.....normally after a few whiskies in the Saloon/Dance Hall.
I'd recommend a visit to Old Tucson to anyone even slightly interested in westerns.....it's a must! There's also the desert museum (more like a brilliantly laid out zoo really) just up the road.....another 'must see' destination.
Hope to get back to the states again next year....and who knows, maybe a 4th visit.

Try to go at least a couple of times a year. You've added some great educational vignettes which help people to understand what it was like the Old West (Saloons in the Old West, History of Stagecoaches, The Chuckwagon, etc.).
This is a smart move by the folks at Old Tucson. Folks will walk away not only with knowledge of the films shot there, but with a better appreciation for Western American history.
Keep up the great work!!

We have been 2 times. We first visited Old Tucson in Sept. 1981 and absolutely loved it. Of course this was before the fire that destroyed so much of the buildings. We didn't know about the fire before we went the 2nd time. On our first visit, you actually felt as if Matt, Festus, or Miss Kitty would be walking down the street. Oh, the gun fights were magnificent, guys falling off the roofs right at your feet, gun fights unexpectedly happening right in the streets as you were walking by. So very realistic.

Our 2nd trip was in the early 1990's and was a disappointment. We were so excited because we were taking our son there for his first time. When we got there, we were so disappointed in what it had become. It was more like a carnival atmosphere, little coin operated boats, the stunts were pitiful, the horse trail ride was only a few minutes, etc. etc. We left after being there less than an hour.
For us, the 'feeling' wasn't there any longer.
When we left, we informed the staff that it had turned into a joke and had been a waste of money.

Now, we here that they have revamped it. Hopefully it is back to what it was and better. Hopefully it has lost the theme park/carnival feel. We may have to visit again and see if that 'feeling' is back. Hopefully we won't be disappointed again.

First time I went was a few months ago and I was really impressed. Being the rare breed of an Arizonan native that has never lived outside of this state, I'm pretty bored with westerns and all things historical, but this was truly impressive and refreshing for me. It was bigger, less touristy, and way more historical than many other places I've been to in this state and held my attention the entire day! Hope to return some time soon!

We were just at Old Tucson and *Billy The Kid* (Austin?) came up to them and started playing. They were gun fighting their little hearts out. All i could think is how they will remember playing with Billy The Kid their whole lives. Thank you Old Tucson!!!

Thank you for such a beautiful day at you western theme park. From the time we entered until the time we left, it was an enjoyable experience. Your actors and actresses are at the top of their game hence the great singing and acting perfomances. We met Travis who played so many roles, its a wonder he could remember any of his lines. The courtesies extended to us by all of your staff is certainly commendable and it made for a beautiful day. We will be back. Thank you.

We were two times in Old Tucson already: first in 2004 and while we liked it for the second time in 2008. Last year we travelled in Canada, but the Arizona Desert is calling.....
Maybe this or next year we come again to Old Tucson, because we enjoyed it very much. Friendly staff and good food. There is always what to do, for instance last time we filmed a bankrobbery and the actor was shot and fell from the roof. Spectacular.
And last but not least: the nature around is beautiful.
